The Voice – Edobozzi
The Voice is a contemporary african dance piece that explores the human experience of life amidst dictatorship and political confinement in modern-day Africa. This piece is to give insight into the lives of lesbians, gays, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) in Uganda Society. The stories are about real life stories of parents, brothers, sisters, teachers, clergyman and friends. With this piece Oscar hopes that people will get a chance to live the life an LGBT person lives and get a feeling of what its means to be discriminated against by your own people. It is his hope that the stories and information shared in this dance piece will open up the eyes of many east african who think that LGBT persons are not supposed to live on this land and are discriminated agains and presecuted by the government and local people.
